# The Sermon on the Mount

**In one sentence:** In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus describes life under His reign: you are salt
and light in the world, you pray to your Father in heaven for His kingdom to come, you forgive as
you have been forgiven, and you fast for His eyes alone.

The weeks follow Matthew 5-7 in order. Week three stays on one line of the prayer from week two,
because the kingdom it asks for is the subject of the whole sermon.
