# Tags

Studies are filed by **subject** into the sections described in
[Our Taxonomy](https://the-way.lewy.au/about/our-taxonomy/). Tags carry the other axes — the ones a directory can't,
because a study has more than one dimension and only one of them can be a folder.

Four facets use a prefix so they group together in the list below:

| Facet | Means |
|---|---|
| `method/` | How the study was worked — word study, typology, archaeology, textual criticism |
| `lang/` | Which original language the study actually examines |
| `status/` | `investigation` marks open inquiry where conclusions aren't settled |
| `audience/` | Material shaped for a particular use, such as teaching |

Everything else is a plain topic tag: a book, a person, a feast, a concept. Tags deliberately do
**not** repeat what the section already says — a study under *Last things* isn't tagged `prophecy`,
and nothing is tagged `studies`.
